Ceramics-Friend or Foe?

Ceramics is another creative endeavor offered by Right Path House. For some residents, working with paint and clay relieves stress but for some, it creates stress. For the ones where ceramics is a stress reliever, they realize that when they focus just on the clay, they're distracted from their problems. For the others who become stressed, they come to realize there is no right or wrong and that they are not being judged. In ceramic class, whatever a resident produces can help increase a feeling of self worth.

Ceramic work helps in cognitive reasoning skills and socialization. By increasing their thought and motor skills, their frustration level may be reduced and more patience and endurance may result.
