WHY EXPERIENTIAL?

Right Path offers to collaborate with therapists by offering activities such as equine encounters, art therapy or ropes to help them become more self-aware. Experiential activites-knowledge gained through experience assists residents in gaining knowledge about self. Some say that experiential activities accelerate unlearning.

Using observation, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, our horses, our ropes course or our art class, may be able to deliver a real life scenario that challenges residents to reveal emotions and ideas that can change a point of view. We have found that certain activities have a dramatic impact on our residents because they are in a non-traditional setting and ask them to challenge their comfort zone.
