Sober Escorts. Support when traveling

Family Coach. Support in finding Alanon and/or therapy.
After our sober living, we offer in-home coaching. An option after your stay at one of our houses.

What's Neurofeedback and Why Offer It At a Sober House?

After more than a decade operating our sober living home, we've found that offering Neurofeedback can help guests reduce their anxiety, PTSD symptoms, and insomnia, which, in turn, can increase emotional regulation and subsequently their ability to cope with life and perform at work. Not only that but, with increased emotional regulation, our guests get more out of therapy, 12-step and, well, life. It's a non-invasive option that's conveniently located onsite.

The FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)
Since 2015 we have owned and operated
sober living homes. We listened and evolved.
1. Is Right Path House A Treatment Center?
No, we are a 12-step based sober house with structure and coaching services. We offer neurofeedback and a gym membership - workouts for your mental and physical self!
2. Does Right Path House Serve Adolescents or Adults?
We serve adults only. We do not serve adolescents.

3. Do You Take Insurance?
No, we are private pay only. We do not take insurance.

4. How much does a structured sober house cost, and what’s included?
At Right Path for Men, your monthly fee ranges from $1950 to $2250. It will cover private room housing with or without a private bath, accountability systems (testing), gym membership, recovery support (coaching), and oversight of our community standards (case management). There are no hidden fees and no surprise charges. Add-ons are available, equine, Reiki, sound bath, art - please review them on our admissions page so you know exactly what you’re paying for. Neither food or transportation is included unless it is an add on.

5. What does a typical sober house day look like?
You'll have a conversation with one of our coaches to decide what activities can further your recovery goals, reduce stress, and increase stability. There's generally a flexible balance of:
-
Individualized Clinical program
-
Work or school
-
Recovery commitments (12-step, SMART and DHARMA)
-
House responsibilities
-
Recovery community connections
-
Family
We offer workable structure without suffocation.

6. How long can I stay?
You can stay as long as you’re actively participating in your recovery and fulfilling our community expectations. Recovery is a job. Your job from now on. Generally, successful residents stay from 6–36 months. We offer a helpful, self-administered assessment of readiness. Getting through early recovery takes time. We don’t rush people out the door — we support rebuilding a lifestyle. That's a rock-solid recovery foundation.

7. What happens if I slip?
We respond immediately with compassion and clarity. A slip doesn’t make you a bad person — but it does require firm leadership to protect the safety of the house. We follow a dignity‑centered, safety‑first protocol that includes:
-
Staff's immediate assessment
-
Supportive next‑step planning with recommendations for detox, other sober houses, or treatment.
-
Protecting the community from chaos or risk
Boundaries and compassion can coexist — and they do here.

8. Who else lives here?
Our homes are adult‑only, recovery‑focused, and filled with residents who are referred by rehabs because they are serious about rebuilding their lives. To ensure everyone is actively pursuing recovery, coaches meet with everyone every week. In short, you’ll live with people who share your goals, not people who jeopardize them.

9. Is the house actually sober?
Yes. We expect all of us from every guest to staff to owner to attend meetings, use a sponsor and go to therapy— and we mean that. We maintain a drug‑ and alcohol‑free environment through:
-
Consistent testing 2 or 3 times per week
-
Clear expectations about 12-step and clinical support with case management follow-up
-
Immediate response to unsafe behavior
-
Staff who actually enforce boundaries and take the time to focus on their own sobriety as well.

10. What support do you offer if I struggle?
We offer one-to-one coaching, space for meeting with your sponsor, and referrals to nearby clinical support.
-
Space to share on a regular basis. We always suggest our women's house morning workshops or the evening meal.
-
Peer support throughout the day
-
Staff oversight

11. Can I work, go to school, or have a normal life?
Absolutely. Sober living is designed to help you re‑enter life safely, not pause it. Most residents:
-
Work (full or part) or attend school
-
Rebuild and build relationships
-
Develop sober lifestyle routines
-
Grow financially and emotionally

12. What services does Right Path House offer?
We offer coaching, a gym membership at Coastline Fitness and a structured environment where it's easier to be successful because you are seen and heard.

13. What Rehabs refer to Right Path House?
We regularly receive referrals from Mountainside, High Watch, Caron, Wellbridge, Paramount, The Hammocks, and Lantana
14. What benefit does combining 12-step with a sober house offer at Right Path House?
12-step programs, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), offer several benefits when integrated into sober living residences. These benefits include:
Peer Support: Residents get a supportive community of individuals who understand the challenges of addiction and recovery.
Accountability: Regular meetings and commitments encourage residents to stay accountable to their sobriety goals.
Structured Recovery Path: The 12 steps provide a clear, time-tested framework for personal growth and recovery.
Emotional and Spiritual Growth: The program encourages self-reflection, acceptance, and spiritual development, which can be healing.
Reduced Relapse Rates: Participation in 12-step programs is often linked to lower relapse rates due to ongoing support and coping strategies.
Social Connection: It helps residents build sober friendships and a network that supports a drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle.
Improved Life Skills: Through the program and living in the house, individuals often develop communication skills, stress management techniques, and healthier habits.

Welcome
Our Leadership
Co-Founders are Lisa Ferguson and Rob Schiffer. However, we like to include a small number of supportive rehabs like Mountainside who were willing to take an educated chance on us in 2015. High Watch joined in 2018, Wellbridge in 2024 and Caron in 2025. We've been helping change lives ever since. With backgrounds in personal recovery, personal family recovery, business, insurance, education, and a love for recovering people, science, horses, construction, education, and 12-step recovery, we have seen real change at Right Path House in the people we serve, in ourselves and in the structure sober living houses now know is what serves best for all these positives as we put all our love, care, skill, and knowledge into use every day.
